Don McLemore, Ph.D., professor in the Department of Chemistry and Director of the Office of Industry Relations and Economic Development, has been appointed Acting Vice President for Research Dr.-Don-McLemore& Economic Development in the absence of Dr. Charles Patterson who is currently serving as the interim President of Georgia Southwestern University.  Prior to joining Georgia Southern, Dr. McLemore served as chief operating officer for Herty Advanced Materials Development Center in Savannah, Ga., where he launched new programs in biofuels development and restructured and expanded toll-manufacturing programs leading the company to nearly triple its revenues.

Dr. McLemore will serve from January 1 through June 30, 2015.  During this period, all operations are expected to continue uninterrupted.  Please join us in welcoming Dr. McLemore and supporting him in this exciting new role.

The National Institutes of Health have announced the new salary cap rates and funding levels for 2015.

  • Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) Stipends, Tuition/Fees and Other Budgetary Levels Effective for Fiscal Year 2015  (NOT-OD-15-048)
