Get Ready…

Cloud Express (CX) is a new electronic research administration solution to be implemented in late August/early September. Built on open source, community-developed Kuali Coeus software, Cloud Express will provide Georgia Southern with electronic proposal development, proposal routing, awards tracking, and compliance management. To a large degree, this solution will replace paper-based processes while employing online workflows to improve efficiencies.  Compliance modules (IRB, IACUC and COI) will be implemented later in the year.  System training will be provided. Stay tuned for updates!

Congratulations to July Sponsored Award Recipients!

Annual Financial Conflict of Interest Disclosures due August 31, 2014

In accordance with the Georgia Southern University Financial Conflict of Interest Disclosure Policy, FCOI Disclosures must be renewed annually.  Renewals are required in August of each year regardless of when your disclosure was originally submitted. Below are instructions for completing your renewal.  This must be completed by August 31st, 2014.

Special Note: The Office of Research Services and Sponsored Programs (ORSSP) will be implementing an electronic research administration system in the upcoming academic year.  This new system will require all investigators and key personnel on a sponsored project to certify their FCOI with each submission in addition to the annual disclosure.  As more information becomes available, it will be forwarded by email and in the Research Express newsletter.

Instructions for Completing “Year 2 or 3 Renewal” Disclosure:

1. Log in at www.gsu.myreviewroom.com NOTE: This is a password that you have set up, NOT your mygsu login. (If you have forgotten your password click “trouble signing in” to reset your password.)

Those failing to complete the renewal by August 31st, 2014, will be required to restart the disclosure process (including training) before being able to submit future grant applications or receive new awards. Failure to renew for those currently funded may also result in delays in receiving new funding increments.
