Faculty Service Awards
Faculty Service funds are awarded to full-time university faculty who propose to improve the quality of life for the local, state, national, or international community through the use of uncompensated professional skills and expertise; or to serve the academic community through uncompensated public service to professional and honor societies. Faculty Development Committee Awards
The Faculty Development Committee provides four types of funding in support of faculty development activities by faculty members. Funded by the University, the programs are designed to provide time and resources for enhancement of the teaching-learning process with emphasis directed toward classroom instruction. Graduate Student Organization
The Graduate Student Professional Development Fund (GSPDF) is a competitive funding opportunity for graduate students at Georgia Southern University (GS) managed by the Graduate Student Organization (“GSO”). This grant is designed to financially support students in travel to program-related events and in thesis or dissertation-related research while attending GS. Student Government Association – Conference travel grants
- If a student is attending a conference and is not presenting the maximum award amount is $150.00
- If a student is attending a conference and presenting the maximum award is $300.00
