Our historically strong connection with the pulp and paper industry has provided legacy equipment and technical expertise that can be matched by few.  In more recent years, the needs of our customers have led to the establishment of new technology development centers within Herty and new technology thrusts.  The confluence of these strengths permit our development of innovative technologies from the mechanical fibrillation of fibers to the near production-scale manufacture of energy pellets, and includes new technologies for the chemical modification of materials and the innovation of green energy-efficient processes for the production of crystalline nanocellulose.  Our ever-growing technologies allow for partnerships with businesses looking for ways to commercialize their ideas and concepts.
