Pre-Award Processes and Procedures

Research Services strives to create and maintain the optimum environment for the research community through a series of best practice resources on topics such as starting your research; the importance of proposal timelines; researcher onboarding and tools; web links to library services; an outline of faculty research integrity training requirements; the responsibilities of a PI on sponsored awards; a cradle to grave look at the roles and responsibilities of the Principal Investigator, Department, College, Research Services, GSURSF and RA; information on graduate student research; and definitions on centers and institutes. These resources support the research communities’ pursuit of scholarly, pedagogical and aesthetic activities. 

Research Services further supports the university’s research community pursuit of external funding by providing a wide variety of tools and resources to assist the research community identify the right funding source for their research, creative and other scholarly activities as well as a guide for when an investigator should contact the funding agency’s Program Officer.
