BIG Administers City’s Small Business COVID-10 Relief Grant Program

The City of Statesboro sought the expertise of the Business Innovation Group to administer and review grant applications for small business relief. Eligible businesses had to be located in a physical establishment within the city limits, have less than $2M in annual gross revenue, and be able to display the negative impact that the pandemic had on their business. Out of the 92 applications submitted, 38 businesses were awarded funding ranging from $500 to $5000. In total, the City awarded $75,000 in funding to area businesses based on BIG’s recommendations.
