IRB Meeting Dates and Deadlines

Applications for exempt or expedited review are accepted on a continuing basis.  However, review may be delayed during school breaks and holidays.

All submissions must contain the full list of documents from the forms list associated with the type of review you are seeking and that apply to your study.  Application materials should be emailed in a single PDF to irb@georgiasouthern.edu.  Emails are answered in the order received.   Peak submission times are September through October and Mid January though March resulting in slower service.

Full Board Review Dates

Meeting dates and times are subject to change.

• Applications that require full board approval must be received by the Research Integrity office by 5PM  on the first Monday of the month.  Full board protocols are scheduled to committee agendas as space allows.  
• Committees meet on the 2nd and 4th week of each month during the academic year.  A summer meeting may be called as needed.  Please allow a minimum of 60 days for all full board reviews.

• The IRB Medical Board will meet as needed.  Please allow a minimum of 60 days for all full medical board reviews.

• Review and approval of all drug and clinical trials governed by the FDA and all clinical research funded by an external sponsor will be outsourced.  Review expenses must be included in the sponsored project budget.  Please contact the Research Integrity office at 478-5465 for further information.
