Georgia Southern’s City Campus to Receive $1 Million Grant

Georgia Southern University, the City of Statesboro and U.S. Representative John Barrow will announce a $1.1 million grant from the Economic Development Administration (EDA) during a ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 3:30 p.m. at the University’s City Campus, 58 East Main Street in Statesboro.

The federal grant will be used to expand City Campus and create a business and innovation incubator. The facility will inspire creativity and provide support to entrepreneurs as they design, develop and test products. The incubator will house incubation office space and has planned space for a fabrication lab with 3D printing capabilities.

The announcement of the EDA grant is open to the public, and everyone is invited to attend.
